President
Florence Layburn
Florence is a third-year PhD students studying Parkinson’s disease, based at the UK Dementia Research Institute and Department of Chemistry. She is a Woolf Fisher Scholar and member of Trinity College. Florence is from Auckland, New Zealand, where she completed her undergraduate education in Biomedical Science (Honours) at the Centre for Brain Research.

Jeffrey Pullin
Jeffrey is an Australian PhD student at the MRC Biostatistics Unit working in statistical genetics. He is a member of Girton College and a Gates Cambridge Scholar. Before coming to Cambridge, Jeffrey completed BSc and MSc degrees in statistics at the University of Melbourne and worked in the Australian Public Service.

Ari Katz
Ari is a second-year undergraduate studying Land Economy at Selwyn College (named after the first Bishop of New Zealand, George Augustus Selwyn). He is born and raised in Sydney, Australia and can’t wait to get more involved in CUANZS this year.

Angus Cha
Angus is a third-year engineering student at King's College and hails from Melbourne, Australia. When he's not stuck in with Society admin, he's busy involved as a techie at the ADC theatre, and working on his never-ending degree.

Akhil Sharma
Akhil is from Adelaide, Australia and completed a Master of Philosophy in the Department of Engineering in 2024 as a member of Lucy Cavendish college. Before coming to Cambridge, he completed BEng & BFin degrees at the University of Adelaide and works in infrastructure delivery. Akhil is now working in London in the investments sector.

Lauren Barnfather
Lauren hails from Taranaki in New Zealand and moved to Wellington to study Psychology and Criminology at Victoria University. Now living in the UK, she works for Cambridge University doing Human Resources and is associated with Jesus College.

Ben Roberts comes from the Kapiti Coast in New Zealand. He is currently a second-year PhD student in biology at Jesus College, studying the epigenetics of early development.
